Today marked a pivotal meeting between the President of the International Boxing Association (IBA), Umar Kremlev, and Mr. Nishimura Yasutoshi, the current Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan (METI).

Adding to the significance of the meeting, Sewonrets Okazawa, the esteemed World Champion and participant in the TOKYO2020 Olympics, attended the meeting. On 9 December 2023, Sewonrets Okazawa is set to showcase his talent at the IBA Champions’ Night in Dubai. President Kremlev extended his heartfelt best wishes to Sewonrets Okazawa, who will proudly represent Japan in the upcoming bout, highlighting the unity that sports bring on a global stage.
