The International Boxing Association (IBA), with the approval of its Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) Normalisation Committee. This strategic move reinforces the IBA’s commitment to zonal representation, good governance, transparency, and operational stability across the African continent.

The newly appointed members are:

• Mr. Siya Mkwalo – President, South African National Boxing Organisation (SANABO)
• Mr. Djamon Domkreo – President, Fédération Tchadienne de Boxe
• Mr. Zied Barbouch – President, Fédération Tunisienne de Boxe

These distinguished leaders bring a wealth of experience not only from their roles as National Federation presidents but also from their deep involvement in the African boxing environment. Their inclusion strengthens the committee’s capacity to deliver on its mandate.

The AFBC Normalisation Committee was established to address governance challenges and ensure full compliance with the constitutions of both the AFBC and IBA. Its responsibilities include overseeing the organisation of fair and transparent elections, implementing structural reforms, and guiding the Confederation toward a sustainable and unified future.
