The curtain came down on the OCBC Women’s and Men’s Continental Championships in Apia crowning 12 new champions from Oceania. The tournaments offered 13 tickets to Buenos Aires, as 4 women and 9 men qualified for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. The best athletes also got their place for the eagerly awaited 2018 AIBA Youth World Championships in Budapest.

On the women’s side, Australia topped all four podiums, as Sophie Ingledew, Brittany Roll, Emma Lawson and Caitlin Beckett all went home with a gold. On the men’s side as well, Australia proved their strong potential, leaving only one gold to Samoa’s Preston Matthes for the delight of the home fans.
