The International Boxing Association (AIBA) is proud to announce that the President of the Egyptian Boxing Federation and the AIBA Coaches Commission Member Dr Mohamed Abdelaziz Ghonem has been awarded the Fair play award from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

An awards ceremony took place in the framework of the IOC Fair Play Committee which was staged on 19-21 of July, 2014.

“I am delighted to represent our beloved sport of boxing, my country and AIBA with this coveted trophy, and I believe that this accolade is just one of the many steps that displays the incredibly hard work AIBA produces on a daily basis in order to make boxing popular worldwide,” said Dr Mohamed Abdelaziz Ghonem after the ceremony.

AIBA would like to congratulate the member of its family for this important achievement, and to wish Dr Ghonem the best to continue development of the Noble Art in Egypt.
