AIBA focus on development and education continues with the Road to Buenos Aires training camp in Samoa

Following the successful first edition of the Road to Buenos Aires development program held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra last year, it is now the turn of Samoa to host a new training camp to keep boosting the development of the new generation of Oceanian boxers, coaches and officials.

A total of 6 delegations including boxers and coaches coming from Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, Papua New Guinea and American Samoa will gather at the St Theresa’s Retreat center and benefit from the 10-days joint training base ahead of the upcoming Youth World Championships and Youth Olympic Games.

AIBA has also taken this opportunity to keep educating and developing the new generation of AIBA’s global network of officials with a wide range of courses scheduled to take place during the training camp.

  • AIBA 2-Star Coach Course from May 18 – 25
  • AIBA International Technical official (ITO) certification course from May 27 – 28
  • AIBA Ringside Doctor certification course from May 27 – 29
  • AIBA 1-Star R&J certification course from May 29 – June 1
