Yeraliev and Finol Rivas made the 7th Day of AIBA World Boxing Championships

Exciting Day 7 of AIBA World Boxing Championships in Ekaterinburg gets us closer to the game-changing rounds. The top-16 boxers of 57 kg, 81 kg and 91 kg are set.
Next round of 1/8 finals for all three weight classes is scheduled on September 17.
Three times World champion Lazaro Alvares Estrada (CUB) met with Jean Caicedo (ECU). Cuban southpaw used his reach and successfully worked from distance. He won unanimously and next round meets with Dorin Busca (MDA) who defeated Mohammad Alwadi with split decision 3:2.
Defending World champion Kairat Yeraliev (KAZ) had tough and spectacular fight with Olympic silver medalist Yoel Finol Rivas (VEN) but won on points 3:2. Next round he meets Chatchai Butdee (THA) who won two first fights unanimously.
First fought of Kavinder Bisht (IND) against Chen Zhihao (CHN) was successful for Indian with split decision 3:2. Peter McGrail (ENG) unanimously won against Yechan Lee (KOR) and meets with Tayfur Aliev (AZE), who had tho wins in a row. Tsenbaatar Erdenebat (MGL) started with win against Munarbek Seitbek (KGZ).
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT STARS
Olympic champion, 4-times World champion Julio Cesar La Cruz (CUB) show his excellence in the fight against Mohamed Houmri (ALG). Next round 30-years-old Cuban meets Gaetan Ntambwe (FRA).
Keno Machado (BRA) unanimously defeated Erkin Adylbek (KGZ) and meets Bekzad Nurdauletov (KAZ) who already made two wins with 5:0.
Loren Alfonso Dominguez (AZE) had not easy bout with Gazimagomed Jalidov Gafurova (ESP) who made his first fight with RSC in first round. But second seeded boxer from Azerbaijan won 3:2 and meets Umar Dzambekov from Austria.
For defending World champion Erislandy Savon (CUB) was not a big issue to defeat Nikoloz Begadze (GEO) and proceed to the next round with Alexander Bwambale (SWE). Winner of European Games 2019 Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (RUS) met with Berat Acar (TUR) and on the third round he didn’t give any chance to his rival. His next opponent is David Nyika (NZL).
Olympic silver medalist Vassily Levit (KAZ) on his first fight won David Mikhalek (SVK) with judges decision 5:0. Next round he meets with Ukranian Marat Hryhoryan.
Uzbek Sanjar Tursunov was better than Abner Teixeira Da Silva and his next rival is Sanjeet Sanjeet from India.

The day before three other weight categories representatives knew their 1/8 final rivals.
Light welterweight star Andy Cruz Gomez (CUB) meets Zakir Safiullin (KAZ) who won his second fight by walkover. Hovhannes Bachkov (ARM) defeated Thai Somchay Wongsuwan and meets with Jose Viafara Fori from Colombia.
Luke McCormack had to have two fights, but first won with walkover and second unanimously. Next round he meets Leonel De Los Santos (DOM).
Sofiane Oumiha from France won Hyeonbin Kang (KOR) and next round goes to the ring with Bakhodur Usmonov (TJK).
In flyweight Indian Amit fights with Batuhan Citfci from Turlkey, both unanimously won on Sunday their first bouts on the tournament. Cuban Yosvany Veitia Soto after first not easy success against Algerian meets with Gaial Yafai (ENG).
Middleweight #2 seeded Tarik Allali from Morocco lost to Eumir Marcial (PHI). Tursunbay Kulakhmet (KAZ) had his first won and in next round goes with Javier Martinez (USA). Arlen Lopez (CUB) meets Euri Cedeno from Dominican Republic.
