Update on McLaren Independent Investigation Team mandate

The terms of office of the McLaren Independent Investigation Team (MIIT) were extended till October 6, 2022, upon MIIT’s request. The following decision of the IBA Board of Directors can be found here.
On June 24, 2022, the IBA Board of Directors decided to investigate the activity of R&Js, Competition Officials and other Officials within the tournament and approached MIIT for this purpose.
The initial deadline for the MIIT report on the investigation was established on August 31. However, Prof. McLaren requested to extend a deadline to provide his report in order to complete all necessary interviews scheduled. Following the request, the IBA Board of Directors took a decision by means of a mail vote to extend the investigation till October 6, 2022.
