President of Ghana Mr. Nana Akufo-Addo received IBA President Umar Kremlev in Accra to discuss boxing development in the country and other sporting initiatives. Minister of Sports of Ghana Mr Mustapha Yusif was also present in the meeting.

IBA plans to conduct more events on the African continent, and this meeting become a milestone in negotiations with host countries. Ghana has the necessary infrastructure and capabilities to host the continental competitions at the highest level.

‘I appreciate it when heads of states are so attentive to the boxing development in their countries,’ President Kremlev claimed. ‘This is very positive for our sport and gives more opportunities to kids to become champions in the future. I am grateful to Mr Akufo-Addo for a fruitful meeting, and I am looking forward to organizing events in Ghana.’
