Pavel Fedorov & Vladimir Mironchikov return on Torino Showcase headlined by Grandelli-Romero WBO title clash

Unbeaten Russian duo Pavel Fedorov and Vladimir Mironchikov return to action this Saturday, 20th December, as the pair showcase their skills on the undercard of local favourite Francesco Grandelli’s WBO Inter-Continental Featherweight Title clash against Spain’s Jose Romero at the Palasport Gianni Asti in Torino, Italy.
Fresh off his recent campaign at the historic IBA 2025 Men’s World Boxing Championships in Dubai, super-lightweight star Fedorov (3-0, 1 KO) makes his return to professional boxing for the first time since July 2023 when he takes on Italian counterpart Jacopo Lusci (10-8-1) in a bout scheduled for six rounds.
Fedorov has, however, remained active in the innovative IBA Pro format in recent years; taking on a stellar list of opponents across six bouts and amassing an impressive record of 5-1 (IBA Pro), with his sole defeat coming against the heavy-handed Russian banger Georgii Chelokhsaev in March of this year.
After reaching the quarter-finals of the record-breaking IBA 2025 Men’s World Boxing Championships – and collecting a cool $10,000 prize in the process – Fedorov now fixes his sights on building his professional ledger.
Super-middleweight standout Mironchikov, on the other hand, has quietly built an eye-catching professional record of 6-0 (5 KOs) in his short-lived career so far – including a dominant eight round unanimous decision victory over former WBO World Middleweight Title challenger Walter Kautondokwa on an IBA Pro card in Dushanbe in July.
In Turin, the Serpukhov-born slugger faces Piemonte puncher David Ferko (5-1, 5 KOs) over six rounds in a bout that promises fireworks from the opening bell.
IBA President Umar Kremlev shared the excitement from the upcoming boxing event saying:
“I am delighted that the boxing celebration will kick off tomorrow in Turin.
“The IBA boxing family would like to thank the Turin City Council and the National Boxing Federation for their trust. We hope that one of the next IBA World Championships will be held here.
“I wish all boxers exciting and competitive fights.”
With the evening headlined by world-level contender Francesco Grandelli’s ten round affair against the experienced Jose Romero, the Torino Boxing Show is the first signal of intent as part of an exciting new venture with the IBA.
IBA President Umar Kremlev continues to double down on his vow to further expand the worldwide reach of the International Boxing Association, with tomorrow night’s Italian spectacle the latest example of the organisation’s ever-expanding global footprint.
