Invitation to register opens for the Youth World Boxing Cup 2024 as Budva welcomes the future generation of boxers

The Montenegro Boxing Association has opened its registration process for the Youth World Boxing Cup 2024 – 33rd Adriatic Pearl tournament set to take place in Budva, Montenegro from 3 – 11 March 2024 at the Hotel Splendid Conference & Spa Resort. National Federations are cordially invited to enlist their youth talents through via email by 1 February 2024. This edition promises to be a global gathering of emerging talents in Budva, featuring 13 youth men’s and 12 youth women’s weight divisions.

Alexander Klemenko, President of the Montenegro Boxing Association stated that ‘In the two last editions of our tournament, we had 15 champions and 35 medallists from the World Championships participating, and many more European, Asian, and Pan American Games champions. In Olympic sport, the principle of equality of all athletes applies, regardless of their origin, gender, social status, or beliefs. This principle of non-discrimination in sport allows us to promote peace and understanding among all nations.’

‘The Adriatic Pearl is steeped in tradition and is a true celebration of rising stars in our beloved sport. The next generation of boxers is shaped at such events. We encourage teams to register at the event as soon as possible. This event is going to be thrilling and we are pleased to see the next wave of talents being showcased in the beautiful city of Budva,.’ IBA Secretary General and CEO Chris Roberts OBE said.
