President of Beijing Sport University (BSU) Mr Zhang Jian met with IBA President Mr Umar Kremlev on 16 May in Beijing.

President of Beijing Sport University Mr. Zhang Jian gave a warm welcome to President Kremlev during the meeting on Thursday morning. Zhang hoped that the IBA could provide international resources to the University, paving a way for Beijing Sport University to train more international talents. President Kremlev thanked Mr. Zhang Jian for the hospitality of the University. He looked forward to future cooperation with Beijing Sport University.

Beijing Sport University was founded in 1953 and is currently one of the national key universities in China. The University has more than 13,000 students in various sports-related disciplines and takes a huge part in sports development in the country. From 1986, Beijing Sport University started to admit students majoring in boxing.
