AIBA welcomes Russian Boxing Federation to Lausanne to discuss development over the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Cycle

AIBA and a 12-strong delegation from the Russian Boxing Federation gathered in Lausanne on Tuesday 16 May for a series of meetings, during which the development of the country’s Boxing Academy, plans for building its Women’s Boxing and World Series of Boxing platforms and the NF’s commitment to anti-doping were among the key topics under discussion. AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu opened the talks, which came the day before meetings with GB Boxing at the AIBA headquarters and ahead of an AIBA delegation visit to meet with Boxing Scotland on 22 May, as AIBA continues to pursue its open dialogue and support for all 201 of its member NFs.
