The AIBA Disciplinary Commission has ruled that Jong Hun Shin had breached the AIBA Technical Rules and APB Competition Rules by failing to participate in an APB competition and failing to clearly and correctly inform APB in a timely manner about his non-participation.

Mr. Jong Hun Shin shall be suspended for a period of 18 (eighteen) months, which includes time served under the provisional suspension effective November 18, 2014. Upon the expiration of the suspension, Mr. Jong Hun Shin shall be required to apply to the APB Board for resubmission as his contract with BMA/APB has not been terminated.

The Korean Boxing Federation has been fined in the amount of CHF 5,000 due to its negligence of managing improperly on Mr Shin’s contractual obligations in the agreement.
