The AIBA compliance commission task force consisting of Giorgio Brugnoli, Pat Fiacco and Terry Smith (chair) held meetings in Bangkok, Thailand during the ASBC Asian Boxing Championships to determine if the complaints submitted by the AIBA Executive Committee and the Asian Boxing Confederation should be forwarded to the AIBA disciplinary commission.

The committee reviewed a complaint made by the ASBC Executive Committee regarding the alleged failure of the past ASBC president Serik Konakbaev to turn over the archival and financial documents of the Confederation to the new ASBC leadership. The commission recommended to the AIBA EC that a brief of compliant be submitted to the AIBA disciplinary commission for action.

The commission also reviewed the evidence submitted by the AIBA Executive Committee regarding Mr Bekzhan Bektenov alleged attempt to solicit National Federations to form a new organization to manage the Olympic trials. The commission recommended that the AIBA EC forward this case to the disciplinary commission along with a recommendation that Mr Bektenov be provisionally suspended as an AIBA member due to his ongoing attempts to meet with National Federations in violation of the disciplinary code.
