The 2026 IBA Ordinary Election Congress will take place on 5 December 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye, in a hybrid format, bringing together the IBA National Federations for the Ordinary Congress and elections.

The Congress will include elections for the positions of IBA President and 12 Independent Directors.

National Federations are invited to nominate candidates for the positions of IBA President and 12 Independent Directors.

Applications must be submitted through the dedicated online application process by 2 October 2026 at 18:00 CET.

The list of eligible candidates will be published on this page in November 2026.

Registration for National Federation delegates opened on 20 August 2026 and will close on 15 October 2026 at 18:00 CET.

National Federations must register their intended Voting Delegate and any Non-voting Delegate(s) by the deadline in order to ensure representation at the Congress.
