He said: “I think it’s great for them to earn such an amount of money, to where they can focus on boxing. They don’t have to go out and get a job or anything like that.
On how such a prize pool would have changed his amateur career, he said: “It would have helped me out a lot, because the things that I was doing to pay for tournaments, my coaches, things like that. It would have helped me out a lot, me and my family as well.”
