July 7th, 2025 / Clean Sport

The International Testing Agency (ITA), on behalf of the International Boxing Association (IBA), successfully delivered the 2025 edition of its sport-specific Clean Sport Education webinar for boxing coaches and other representatives of National Federations. The event attracted strong engagement, with coaches representing all 5 continents and 52 countries represented in total.
Targeted specifically at coaches and athlete support personnel, the webinar highlighted the influential role coaches play in shaping athlete’s values and behaviours. As trusted figures in their athlete’s life, coaches are instrumental in promoting integrity and clean sport practices.
The webinar also covered key anti-doping rules, including the sources where coaches can check the list of prohibited substances, useful advice on how to provide psychological support to their athletes, and how reporting process works.
IBA Coaches Committee Chair, Dr Gabriele Martelli, who was invited to the webinar as a panellist said: “The global awareness of the complexity and sensitivity of anti-doping procedures, rules, and regulations is has been greatly enhanced through the outstanding cooperation between IBA and ITA in the educational field. “Doping is an enemy”, and thanks to this cooperation, it is now easier to recognize and avoid it, for the sake of both the athletes and the integrity of our sport”.
IBA extends its gratitude to the International Testing Agency (ITA) for their continued support with educational anti-doping initiatives and look forward to strengthening our collaborative efforts in promoting clean sport education. We remind all BA Family members that all relevant information regarding anti-doping is available on the IBA website on the Doping Free Boxing page.
