The AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu has sent his deepest condolences to the Nepal Boxing Association and to everyone affected by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on April 25.

In his letter to the President of Nepal Boxing Association Mr Rajiv Shrestha he said: “On behalf of the entire boxing family, I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to the families, who lost their loved ones and to share my prayers for all who are beginning the recovery process after the damages to infrastructure”.

As the reports of devastation continue to come in and the numbers of people killed, injured and affected by the earthquake continue to rise, Dr Wu said: “I share the sadness of Nepal in these painful moments, but I know the country is currently responding valiantly to the situation during this difficult time”.
