AIBA Disciplinary Commission rules over Japanese boxer Satoshi Shimizu

The AIBA Disciplinary Commission has ruled that Satoshi Shimizu had breached the AIBA Technical Rules and APB Competition Rules by failing to participate in an APB competition and failing to clearly and correctly inform APB in a timely manner about his non-participation.

Mr. Satoshi Shimizu shall be suspended for a period of 12 (twelve) months, which includes time served under the provisional suspension effective November 21, 2014. Upon the expiration of the suspension, Mr. Shimizu shall be required to apply to the APB Board for resubmission as his contract with BMA/APB has not been terminated.

The Japanese Boxing Federation has been fined in the amount of CFH 3,000, which shall be paid to the AIBA headquarters office on or before June 17, 2015.
