Ethics Committee
The Ethics Committee deals with ethical issues within IBA.
It develops and reviews a framework of ethical principles and ensures its implementation by investigating and punishing ethical breaches.
It identifies and resolves conflicts of interest, vets the qualification for the office of candidates of the Board, and chairs the conduct of elections at the Congress.
It consists of three members, who are thoroughly familiar with the ethical principles and values of the Olympic Movement.
Transitional provisions (article 50.15 new Constitution):
The members of the Ethics Commission holding office immediately prior to the adoption of the new Constitution constitute the Ethics Committee until the next Ordinary Congress meeting.
